Maarif-ul-Quran (En) · 2. Al-Baqara · Ayah 224
وَ لَا تَجْعَلُوا اللّٰهَ عُرْضَةً لِّاَیْمَانِكُمْ اَنْ تَبَرُّوْا وَ تَتَّقُوْا وَ تُصْلِحُوْا بَیْنَ النَّاسِ١ؕ وَ اللّٰهُ سَمِیْعٌ عَلِیْمٌ﴿224﴾
- وَلَا تَجْعَلُوااور نہ بناؤ
- اللّٰهَاللہ
- عُرْضَةًنشانہ
- لِّاَيْمَانِكُمْاپنی قسموں کے لیے
- اَنْکہ
- تَبَرُّوْاتم حسن سلوک کرو
- وَاور
- تَتَّقُوْاپرہیزگاری کرو
- وَتُصْلِحُوْااور صلح کراؤ
- بَيْنَدرمیان
- النَّاسِلوگ
- وَاللّٰهُاور اللہ
- سَمِيْعٌسنے والا
- عَلِيْمٌجاننے والا
Translation · Maarif-ul-Quran (En)
And do not make Allah, through your oaths, a barrier against your doing good, fearing Allah and setting things right between people. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
Tafseer · Maarif-ul-Quran (En)
The Verse warns those who swear in the name of Allah that they will not do some vituous deeds or that they will not effect a compromise between two groups. The Verse reminds them that by this behaviour they are using the name of Allah as a barrier against the good deeds, which is a severe violation of the sanctity of the name of Allah, and they must avoid it in any case,
